A light in the world since the day she was born, Lorna has dedicated her life to giving hope and love back to all people. She has overcome severe dyslexia, poverty, and being misdiagnosed in childhood as “retarded” to do the work God has given her, reminding humanity of our truth— you are not just a human being, you are a spiritual being with a soul, and you have a guardian angel that never leaves you, not even for one moment.
Through Different Eyes
From the very beginning, it was clear Lorna was different. As a baby, she always seemed distracted, captivated by things no one else could see. Her parents became concerned and called a doctor to their cottage in Old Kilmainham in Dublin, Ireland.
The doctor misdiagnosed Lorna as “retarded,” an expression of the time for anyone different to the norm. This mistake would have a profound impact on her life.
Lorna was ignored by her teachers, peers, and community, and as a result she never learned how to read or write, everyone failing to realize she was severely dyslexic… and remarkably gifted.
The angels told Lorna she wasn’t allowed to share what she could see with anyone, even her family, or she would be sent away to an asylum. The angels became her secret to keep for the next forty years.
Lorna has not been educated by books and classrooms. She was taught everything she knows by God and the angels, deep in the fields and forests of Ireland, looking at the world with love and compassion through the eyes of her soul.
Angel Elijah's Prophecy
When she was young, Lorna was visited by Angel Elijah and he told her that in the future she would marry a tall, handsome man named Joe, and that they would be happy in their life together. But it wouldn’t be easy. Joe would become very sick and die young.
Years passed, and Lorna finally met Joe while working at her Da’s garage in Rathmines, Dublin. Despite knowing of the pain and loss that was to come, she trusted in God’s plan.
Joe was the love of Lorna’s life and the love Angel Elijah told her about. They married and had four beautiful children together. The family lived in a small cottage in Maynooth, Ireland.
With Joe being unwell and unable to work, many days Lorna didn’t have enough money for food and necessities, and it wasn’t unusual for the cottage’s cupboards to be empty for weeks. Lorna said yes to every job that came her way. She washed school toilets, worked in a shoe shop, and gave driving lessons to student drivers.
Although life wasn’t easy, it was precious, because it was the life God gave her.
Joe passed away in March of 2000.
Lorna Shares Her Secret
Lorna was out walking near the cottage in Maynooth when Archangel Michael came to her and told her she would write books for the world one day.
At the time, Lorna thought Archangel Michael was crazy. “How does God expect me to write even one book?” she thought to herself.
She knew the angels would never tell her something that wasn’t true, but she just couldn’t see how writing books was possible for her. After all, she had never learned how to read or write, was severely dyslexic, and she often didn’t have enough money for bread and jam for her family.
Still, Lorna had faith and knew one day it would happen.
Through the years, many miracles unfolded that would allow her books to come to life. A dear friend gifted Lorna a laptop and showed her how to use a software to speak her books onto the page, and not long after that, a chance encounter led her to meeting a top editor at a major book publisher.
Twenty years after Archangel Michael first told her she would write, Lorna’s debut book, Angels in My Hair, became an international bestseller. Lorna says writing everything down for humanity is something God wants her to do, to give her stories to the world and pour hope and empathy back into people’s hearts.

Sanctuary is God’s plan. Lorna didn’t how it would come about, or when, but she knew it would eventually happen.
Somehow, by the grace of many miracles, we stumbled upon a beautiful old property called Kilfane and Sanctuary began.
It was the house God had showed Lorna in her visions.
Today, thanks to Lorna’s friends and the people who share the vision and values of Lorna’s work, Sanctuary welcomes thousands of people from all around the world, of all beliefs and none, to learn about God and the angels in the peace of this sacred place.
And this is only just the beginning.
The angels tell Lorna that Sanctuary will be here in the world for three hundred years and more, helping humanity connect back to the soul, that spark of light of God within us all.

My Bird of Love
Lorna was born with the name Lorna Mary Catherine, but she says her real name is the name God gave her, “My Bird of Love.” When God speaks to Lorna, He doesn’t call her Lorna. He calls her My Bird of Love.
Lorna’s Bird of Love was a tiny baby bird she found in the woods at Mountshannon as a child, an abandoned baby bird laying at the base of a tree with a gash across its neck. Lorna, just a child at the time, carried the baby bird home and nursed it back to health. But this was no ordinary bird. Lorna’s bird was a spiritual being, a divine bird of prey that showed Lorna how to see the beauty of everything and everyone.
When people meet Lorna, they can feel God’s love pouring through her. She speaks to your soul without words and knows what’s in your heart and mind without you having to say anything. And no matter what, she loves you unconditionally.
Lorna is God’s Bird of Love, giving the message of hope back to mankind, reminding you that you are not just a human being. You are a spiritual being with a soul and you have a guardian angel that never leaves you, not even for one moment.
